Chemical Analysis

It is essential to know exactly what materials are being used in your project. We use several different methods to tell the exact composition of any material with certainty. 

PMI specialists offers the following methods of chemical analysis:

• Optical emission spectroscopy (OES)
• LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy)
• LECO combusition for C/S
• X-ray Fluorescence (XRF)
• Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) (attached on SEM) for bulk and micro chemical analysis on solids including organic and wet samples.

Our state of the art SDD EDS detector provides 10 times more counts than traditional liquid nitrogen cooled Si(Li) detector, which makes more precise and much faster X-ray mapping possible.
