Materials answers you can put your name on
Since 1992, PMI Specialists, Inc. has helped refineries, pipelines, and fabricators verify what their metal actually is, before a mis-identified alloy becomes a leak, a fire, or a failed inspection. ISO 9001 certified since 1999, ILAP accredited, and staffed by PhD materials engineers.
Preventing the failure before it happens
PMI testing and inspection reduces or eliminates the workplace hazards associated with the catastrophic release of highly hazardous chemicals, consistent with OSHA and API process-safety requirements. In refineries and petrochemical plants, studies show that almost half of the largest losses are a direct result of failures in piping systems.
Our job is to make sure the material in that piping is exactly what the drawing calls for, and when something has already failed, to tell you precisely why. Every report is backed by the accuracy and documentation an audit, an insurer, or a courtroom will demand.
